Careers Training Centre was established in 2008 by the CaPTA Group to support real workplace skills, career pathways and industry-ready training across Tropical North Queensland.
As part of a long-standing local tourism group, our training is grounded in practical industry experience. We understand the skills employers need because we work alongside tourism, hospitality and visitor experience teams every day.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT
COUCH (Committee for Oncology Unit at Cairns Hospital) is a local charity started by Charles and Pip Woodward in 2006, dedicated to helping people affected by cancer. The charity was instrumental in establishing the Liz Plummer Cancer Care Centre and providing radiation oncology services to Cairns.
Further support of the local community is provided by the CaPTA Group through regular participation in community fundraisers and donations to local organisations, including the Mayor's Christmas Appeal, Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal and Tropical Animal Rehabilitation Centre (TARC).
